NoteMultiple sources give only first name Sarah. The Koon Family History states that Col Samuel Cannon was married to Sarah Riser. Their daughter Elizabeth Cannon married D. Henry Koon, Jr. The Bicentennial History of Newberry County states the same. However the Cannon History by Yancey J. Dickert says he married Sarah E. Johnston and one of the daughters has middle name of Johnson, which may have been Johnston. However, her middle name is spelled Johnson in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Records.
