Unknown Neal

M, #589

Family: Elizabeth Moore ( - 24 Nov 1824)

SonRobert Neal+ (22 Apr 1794 - 3 Dec 1842)

Biography

NoteThe Crotwell Family Bible has the mother of Robert Neal as Elizabeth Moore who died in 1824, but no entry for his father.

The Neal Family History has John Neel who died in 1836 as the father of my Robert and husband of Elizabeth Moore. John Neel did have a son named Robert, but that Robert was a school boy at the time of his father's death. My Robert was born in 1794, so would have been 42 years old at the time. Also Elizabeth Moore died in 1824 but the estate papers of John Neel show his wife named Elizabeth was still alive. The probate of John Neel was reopened in 1859 and both Elizabeth and Robert of that family were still alive. My Robert died in 1842. (Reference: Estate of John Neel, Newberry County SC, Box 50, Est 1, 1836, Reel N0216, Died Nov 1836.)
