NoteSome researchers believe her maiden name was Hampton. It may be because the will of Thomas Hampton, dtd 21 Mar 1637, divides his estate among several men, including Peter Gaunt. His will does not mention the names of his daughters.

Will28 Dec 1691She signed a will on 28 Dec 1691 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Lydia Gaunt's will names her son Israel as executor. As heirs she names sons Israel, Zachariah and Hannaniah and daughter Lydia. She names grandchildren Mercy Hixe (or Hire), Mary Thirston, James Easton, John Easton, and Deborah. The will was prvd 21 Apr 1692 and Rcd 26 Apr 1692.2
Probate26 Apr 1692She had her estate probated on 26 Apr 1692 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Inventory of Lydia Gaunt estate was done 17 Feb 1692. The total was 59 pounds 2 shillings 6 pence with 1 pound 10 shillings owed to estate. Israel Gaunt made oath "in manner of Quaker to truth" of the Inventory on 21 Apr 1692. Recorded 26 Apr 16922
